How Are Blood, Urine, & Hair Testing Different?


Blood tests reflect your mineral levels at the moment the sample is taken. For instance, eating a banana before your test may cause elevated potassium levels—even if your body is actually deficient and in need of supplementation.


Urine tests, on the other hand, measure the minerals your body is excreting, not necessarily what it has absorbed and retained for use.


Hair analysis offers a more comprehensive view. As hair grows, it records mineral retention over time, providing a longer-term picture of your body's nutritional status. Unlike blood or urine tests, hair analysis is not easily influenced by recent meals, physical activity, or emotional states.
